Crewe-based automotive consultancy BTC reaches software delivery milestone
Automotive consultancy BTC has hit a new milestone after delivering the 1,000th installation of autoVHC, it’s software designed to analyse the health of vehicles during the service process.
Crewe-based BTC said its autoVHC software has helped generate over £750m in incremental service business for franchised car dealers globally since it was introduced in 2007.
Since the start of 2015 the software, which allows technicians to identify vehicle components that require servicing and present the information to the customer, has been rolled out to 250 sites, including installations for car brands such as SEAT, Hyundai, Ford and Škoda.
Following its use across South America and Europe in the last year, BTC’s software is now due to be installed at Jaguar Land Rover’s sites across the Middle East, North Africa and Asia Pacific.
Guy Allman, the chief executive of BTC, said: “By generating such a significant amount in sales, autoVHC has proved it is capable of providing a great return for the automotive industry and shows the value of delivering service information to the customer in a clear and transparent way.
“The software also ensures dealers are delivering a duty of care when servicing a vehicle.”
He added: “The £750m sold has all been urgently required work, such as severely worn tyres or faulty brakes, which if not dealt with render the car illegal or un-roadworthy.”
Elsewhere, the firm’s contact centre has achieved 34% revenue growth after snapping up contracts with automakers Audi, Volkswagen and SEAT.
