CPP appointed to manage Steel City House in Sheffield
South Yorkshire property consultancy Commercial Property Partners (CPP) has been instructed to manage the Steel City House in Sheffield.
CPP’s Property and Asset Management Department have been appointed to provide a full Property Management service to Steel City House, the recognizable office building located in the centre of Sheffield.
Bought by Scotts Developments last year for £3.5m, Steel City House is a Grade II listed building on West Street in Sheffield, built in 1927 in the art deco style.
The building is currently undergoing a £5m refurbishment which will create around 67,000 sq. ft. of Grade A office accommodation.
Sheffield-based Scotts Developments hired CPP to act as the managing agents for Steel City House. That will include setting and managing the service charge budget, appointing on-site personnel and liaising with tenants.
Matthew Fitzgerald, partner and head of property and asset management with CPP, said: “It is exciting to be involved with such a flagship building in the centre of Sheffield. I have known Steel City House for years and it is great to see the building being given a new lease of life through Scotts Developments’ extensive refurbishment, including two additional floors”.
John Scotting, managing director of Scotts Developments, added: “We chose CPP to manage the building on our behalf due to their unrivalled knowledge of Sheffield and their extensive experience of managing large office buildings such as this. Their close proximity to the building also means they are on hand to deal with any issues very quickly.
“The fact that CPP are also marketing the office accommodation appealed to us as well as they promote a joined up approach to dealing with both agency and property management.”
This instruction comes hard on the heels of CPP securing a new asset management mandate for a 1,250,000 sq. ft. multi-let property portfolio in Yorkshire. CPP have been instructed to provide Asset Management and Agency services to a fund managed by London-based property fund manager Clearbell Capital LLP.
