David Wilson Homes sponsors Adel Hockey Club

David Wilson Homes’ Bodington Manor development in Adel, Leeds has agreed to a three-year sponsorship of Adel Sports and Social Club. The donation, which will see the housebuilder sponsor local teams for the next three years.

The sponsorship also helped to fund the recent club day, which saw 80 members of the club turn out in force to enjoy a range of events, where crowds enjoyed three hockey matches, before then taking part in a relaxed afternoon of events - including games of ‘beat the keeper’ and light-hearted non-competitive hockey.

The sports club, which has been an integral part of the Adel community since its founding in 1960, now boasts eleven sporting sections; offering a range of activities for all ages and abilities. The club’s junior teams are renowned for their strength, and have gained a reputation for nurturing the abilities of local children, whilst also providing a safe introduction to organised sport.

Gabrielle Nusenbaum, a Social Committee Member at Adel Hockey Club, commented:

“We’re extremely grateful to David Wilson Homes for its generous donation. Our club day was a great success, and it’s always amazing to see the local Adel community turn out in force to enjoy events like this. Our competitive seasons will get underway this month, so our club day is a great way to kick-off our season and boost morale in the community!”

Stacey Foster, Sales Manager at David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West, commented:

“We were delighted to contribute to Adel Sports and Social Club, which put on a brilliant day for all the locals. Adel is a fantastic community so it was great to be able to help put on this event and see the community out in force supporting their local teams.”
