Why rope access may be the answer

After speaking to many Facilities, Building and Construction Managers, there seems to be common ground as to the myths of using rope access specialists, instead of other methods such as scaffolding or cherry pickers, we at CLM Access believe that rope access, may be the solution.

Rope access (abseiling) is an access method, where the technicians lowers themselves into place via ropes. They would generally would use either a fixed anchor or a deadweight trolley to rig from, and using advanced techniques, they can reach some of the most awkward of areas. (Not only vertically, but also horizontally). Rope access provides a quicker, safer, and often cheaper alternative to scaffolding, hyrdraulic platforms and ladders, and with a range of possible services that a rope access company can provide, it’s suprising not seeing more companies utilising abseiling.

To list only some of what can be accomplished via ropes:

• Reconditioning of skylights, atria and cladding • Window cleaning, scratch removal and glass installation • Gutter, piping and duct inspections and maintenance • Bird proofing including spiking and netting • Masonry painting, repairs and maintenance • Sealant and grouting repairs • Grit-blasting and sandblasting • Vegetation growth removal • Signs and banner installation • NDT and surveying • Electrical works including installation of cable trays, cables, lights, LEDs • Installation and dismantling of decorations

Keep an open mind and seek advice from a company such as CLM Access, and you never now what can be offered.
