Google report Sheffield agency grows 134% compared to a 52% industry average

During a quarterly review at Google offices in Leeds, it was revealed that internet marketing agency Ignition Search has gained 134% year-on-year growth in terms of client spend, compared to a Partner Peer Average of just 52%.

Ignition Search visited Google’s office for their quarterly business review to assess both their own performance, as well as the overall performance of the Google Partner program specifically for AdWords and discovered that the company has outperformed the majority of businesses in the same sector.

Darren Pleasance, head of global acquisition at Google and Terry O’Faolain, head of European acquisition, wanted to discover why Ignition had achieved such significant growth compared to the national average.

Ignition was able to grow so rapidly due to their series of free seminars offering digital marketing knowledge which have been hosted in partnership with both Google and the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce.

Ignition Search is 1 of just 900 agencies with Google Partner status out of the 300,000+ people practising AdWords in the UK. Although Ignition Search gained Partner status in 2008, it has only been in the last year that Google has increased support to agencies offering training, use of their facilities and daily technical support.

Alex Hughes, head of sales at Ignition Search commented: “The Partner program has given my team access to exclusive Google trend data which provides clients with insight into potential growth areas on a category basis as well as geographically. Being a Google Partner shows that we are in the top 0.3% technically in terms of the AdWords service while also adding credibility that new and existing clients can trust.”
