Beever and Struthers promotes Sue Hutchinson to partner

Sue Hutchinson has been promoted to partner at accountants and business advisors Beever and Struthers within a year of joining the firm from a Top 10 competitor firm.

She was appointed as audit director just 12 months ago to specialise in the provision of audit services for clients in the social housing, not-for-profit and education sectors.

Sue has some 15 years of experience in the provision of specialist audit and business assurance services for charities, academies, social housing providers and further education institutions.

In her new role as partner, Sue is responsible for the development of the audit team at Beever and Struthers to ensure it remains abreast of all sector developments that affect clients of the firm.

Chris Porritt, senior partner and head of social housing at Beever and Struthers, said: “Sue was a major strategic hire for us and brought with her a wealth of invaluable experience to give fresh impetus to our on-going drive to further heighten our hard earned and widely respected profile and reputation in social housing, not-for-profit and education nationwide.

“Her promotion to partner is richly deserved following a year in which she has excelled by succeeding for herself, the firm and most importantly of all, its valued clients.”

Sue said: ’‘I’m genuinely honoured to be promoted to partner and look forward to continuing to help my colleagues to develop our already major presence in the key sectors of social housing, not-for-profit and education.

“At Beever and Struthers we offer national experience and capability in these sectors and provides our clients with the support and reassurance they need in an ever-changing regulatory and accounting environment.”

The firm has a significant not for profit, charity and social housing division and ranks in the top five providers of audit and assurance services to the social housing sector in the UK.

Beever and Struthers recently unveiled a complete rebrand and internal restructuring including a detailed analysis of its client base, the objective being to assess and define those sectors in which experience and specialist knowledge was clearly established.

The firm has a total of 21 partners and more than 170 employees across three offices in Manchester, Blackburn and London and is the sole accountancy and business advisory firm in the North West of England to be selected to join HLB International, a renowned worldwide network of independent accounting firms and business advisers.
