New R&D Appointment at Shackletons
New research and development manager for Shackletons, Nigel Austin from Bingley, has designs on furniture for the health care and hotel sector.
Nigel comes to Shackletons from his previous role as research and development manager at Knightsbridge Furniture and will head up the research and development team at Shackletons responsible for the design, development and introduction of new products ready for manufacture.
Nigel Austin says: “I have had a lot of success working in this sector and looked to Shackletons as the ideal company to further this success. It was important to me that they weren’t an importer of products from the Far East but rather a quality manufacturer with a commitment to UK craftsmanship.
I’m very much looking forward to seeing our designs and concepts going into full production and positively impacting on the lives of the end user.“
Shackletons have been in the business of creating comfort for over 50 years and are the UK’s leading design and manufacturer of specialist contract furniture for the healthcare sector.
