Celebrus extends Tagging-Free Data Collection to Mobile
Celebrus Technologies, providers of award winning tagging-free digital big data software, today announces the launch of its Version 8 Big Data Engine Update 14. The latest offering from Celebrus Technologies brings enterprises the ability to collect complete data sets from mobile apps on iOS, Android and Windows Phone via a single line of code, resulting in fast and easy access to data, helping the organisation meet the needs of the ever demanding consumer who expect to receive fully contextualised communications at a truly 1:1 level regardless of channel or device.
With new research predicting that m-commerce is going to continue to grow, and almost triple in value, from $300 billion in 2014 to approx. $850 billion in 2018 – as well as being forecasted to represent nearly three-quarters of all investment – it is clear to see why brands need to ensure they are able to easily collect data from this critical source.
Further research highlights that on iOS and Android in 2014, sessions in shopping apps increased by 76%, and with a growing focus on location-based customer service apps such as that available from Easyjet, the importance of apps is set to remain strong. That said, marketers are not the only ones to benefit from Celebrus’ latest version; app developers now have the option to decide how frequently they transmit the data from the Smartphone in order to preserve battery life based on how quickly they need the data and what it will be used for. Moreover, with friendlier app development tools, testing of the app is a much easier part of the development process.
The latest offering from Celebrus Technologies also includes near real-time feeds to Hadoop HDFS in the Parquet data format, enabling organisations to feed Hadoop Impala with minimal effort. With the increasing use of digital customer data to power big data analytics such as predictive, affinity and attribution modelling, this additional data format to feed a popular big data tool offers clients further flexibility and opportunity to get value from their data. This is particularly powerful for those taking advantage of the high processing speed available with a column-based data format to run interactive, real-time queries.
This version expands Celebrus Technologies capabilities in three important areas:
Mobile: Celebrus now has excellent market coverage with iOS, Android and Windows Phone. The Mobile SDK makes it a simple one line code change to instrument an entire application. Developers will also really appreciate the new debugging features which have been added. Analytics: The data discovery capabilities available continue to expand in this release with the support of Apache Impala fed with Parquet data files. This column based file format makes interactive queries against Celebrus fast and efficient. Ease of use: Celebrus has focused heavily in providing a great set of playbooks in this release. These step by steps guides show organisations how to get the best out of the product.
Katharine Hulls, VP Marketing, Celebrus Technologies comments, “Our latest version has been developed with the dynamic marketplace and heightened consumer demands that our clients are dealing with in mind, particularly around mobile. These latest changes help organisations get the data they need, in the places they need it, at the speed required today. Having Celebrus digital big data, combined with other customer and business data, the marketer can engage with today’s omnichannel customers on a truly one-to-one level and ensure that the online customer experience is personalised, giving the customer what they want at the time they want it.”
