Think pink! Local housebuilder supports Breast Cancer Awareness

Staff at David Wilson Homes’ Bodington Manor development in Adel are showing their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October by donning bright pink work wear on site. The local housebuilder is taking part in the ‘Wear it Pink’ campaign and will be collecting funds for Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s largest breast cancer research charity.

Employees at the Bodington Manor development in Adel, as well as staff at Garnett Wharfe in Otley and Applegarth Manor in Oulton, are sporting bright pink hardhats and pink fluorescent jackets, all in aid of raising awareness for the cause and are hoping to raise a significant sum for the charity.

Stacey Foster, Sales Manager at David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West, commented:

“We’re delighted to show our support in Leeds for Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October as with so many people being affected in some way by the disease, it is such a vital cause. It is fantastic to be involved with this campaign and everyone looks great in their pink outfits! We’ll be collecting funds on site for the rest of October and welcome any donations from the local community.”

The Wear it Pink campaign runs throughout October and involves participants wearing pink for a day whilst raising money for Breast Cancer Now.
