New development creates local jobs in Tonna
Work to create a new development in Tonna is set to underpin jobs locally as well as provide homes for the local area.
Five star housebuilder Barratt Homes says that around 276 people will be involved in the construction and sales of the new development– with most being local sub-contractors and tradesmen.
Sales director Richard Lawson said that in addition to the local construction jobs underpinned in building the new homes, the people who move into the new housing will also spend their wages locally. “This translates into a significant boost for local retailers and it’s exactly what this area needs,’’ said Richard.
“We have seen demand for new homes expand very quickly over the last few months and the new site we are opening means that there will be more choice for local buyers,’’ added Richard.
Barratt Homes, which was recently named a five star housebuilder for a record sixth year in a row, is set to build 138 new homes in Tonna with the development set to be launched in 2016.
