Low carbon energy firm launches in Newcastle

Baltic Energy, a new addition to the low carbon and energy saving industry, has launched in Newcastle.

The nascent provider believes it will be turning over £1.5m annually by 2018 and has announced plans to invest in new engineers after a successful first month in business.

The firm, spearheaded by Director Chris Phillipson, specialises in providing the latest low carbon technologies and ground-breaking energy saving products to homes and to businesses throughout the region and hopes to be a major player in the regional renewable energy sector.

The newly launched business has set itself the mission of raising awareness of alternative methods of heating and power among homeowners and hopes to save the regional business community millions by transforming their outdated methods.

Chris Phillipson said: “Our ultimate goal is to dramatically reduce the end user’s energy bill and businesses’ reliability on fossil fuels. We achieve this by taking a conscientious approach to each building and identifying areas that can benefit from an energy saving product.

“I believe Baltic Energy can raise awareness about a variety of government incentives such as the RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive) and the soon to end FiT (Feed-in Tariff). We aim to help people access and enjoy the benefits of such schemes and show everyone how affordable and beneficial renewable technologies are.

“I am passionate about renewable energy, and I think that the industry should play a big role in how we meet our current energy demands. With new technologies on the horizon, I would hope that Baltic Energy can be a market leader.”

Chris added: “Baltic Energy is set up to design, supply and install Domestic and Commercial Solar PV systems and I hope that we can strengthen our service offering in the future with the long-awaited arrival of the new battery storage system, the Tesla Power Wall. We also hope to be offering Air Source and Ground Source Heat Pumps in the New Year.

“The Tesla Power Wall allows Solar PV generators to supply energy directly into a battery which is about the size of a standard home gas boiler. The homeowner can then use this energy and time, day or night. It could be a game-changer.

“I hope that Baltic Energy can continue to offer great customer service in the future and be the go to company when consumers are thinking about how to make their buildings more energy efficient.

“We want to be able to offer the right solution and help customers consider all options before investing in renewable technology. I think offering superior products at affordable prices can be achieved.”
