The Banyan restaurant in Manchester

Creative studio NoChintz in double design contract win

After delivering designs for the £1.5m Banyan restaurant in Manchester’s recently revamped Corn Exchange building, creative studio NoChintz has won further contracts with the restaurant’s operator.

Leeds-based bar operator Arc Inspirations has appointed the Northern Quarter’s NoChintz to design two further Banyan venues, one in Leeds and another in Harrogate, following the success of the Corn Exchange project.

Further, Arc has appointed NoChintz as a design partner for its upcomiKith and Kin brand of bars, a deal that will see NoChintz work on the brand’s first opening in Leeds.

Amy Brown, NoChintz’s associate director, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to expand on our relationship with Arc and take on these fantastic new projects.

“I am particularly excited about Kith and Kin; as it’s a new brand have been involved from the outset of the creative process and ultimately have the freedom to explore new concepts with the client.”

NoChintz has been involved in a number of restaurant projects in Manchester in recent months, including the delivery of designs for Infamous Diner, Fitzgerald Bar, Walrus Bar and the Rosylee Tearooms.

Elsewhere, the firm has been redesigning commercial space across the North West.

Martin Wolstencroft, a co-founder of Arc Inspirations, commented: “From the outset we wanted the best project team on board, a team which was on the ground and had unrivalled experience in this sector.

“NoChintz stood out thanks to its interior design detailing and knowledge of the local bar and restaurant scene and I am looking forward to taking on future schemes with them.”
