Hello Work Supports Small Business Saturday Bus Tour
Tour Visits Hello Work, Old Granada Studios on Wednesday 11th November
The Small Business Saturday nationwide bus tour is set to visit Manchester on November 11th to promote the UK’s Small Business Saturday, taking place on Saturday 5th December.
Small Business Saturday launched in the UK three years ago. It celebrates Britain’s independent businesses and encourages shoppers across the country to support their local small business.
Last year 16.5 million customers shopped in an independent business on Small Business Saturday, 2.7 million more than the year before and awareness of the day increased with Prime Minister David Cameron getting behind the campaign.
Start-up and enterprise platform Hello Work at Old Granada Studios in Manchester are supporting Small Business Saturday with their Manchester pit stop. As well as hosting the bus on the 11th November, they will be running a series of free workshops and networking events featuring Small Business Saturday Champion Lee Parker, CEO & Founder of Parker Sourcing in Manchester. Lee will share his experiences of Small Business Saturday alongside an exhibition from the Small Biz 100 top businesses in the city.
Hannah Rockliffe from Hello Work, who are pioneering an enterprise village at Old Granada Studios dedicated to entrepreneurs, start-ups and innovative companies said, “Manchester has a fantastic track record for supporting independent businesses. Small Business Saturday is a great initiative and it really plays to Hello Work’s strengths – namely collaboration and co-operation with small businesses within the enterprise community in the North West. We want to encourage all small business owners to visit the bus to get more information and to find out ways in which they can make the 5th December work most effectively for their organisation.
“As well as hosting the bus outside our Manchester location at Old Granada Studios, we will be holding a series of workshops, talks and events within the Hello Work space as well as a complimentary networking lunch.”
You can find the Small Business Saturday bus in the carpark at Old Granada Studios (signposted) from the hours of 10am-1.30pm on 11th November.
