Leeds cloud services company wins first public sector contract
Fantastic Cloud Services, one of the region’s newest growing cloud service providers, has signed a two year deal with Wealden District Council in East Sussex.
This is the first public sector contract win for the Leeds-based company, whose current portfolio includes regional and national businesses such as The Technology Forge, Optimum Data Centres and Tastecard.
Fantastic Cloud Services will provide and support a Private Cloud back up and disaster recovery solution protecting the council’s IT infrastructure and data.
The company, founded by several industry experts, was only launched six months ago.
Jeremy Wyatt, operation director, said: “The feedback from the council on why we stood out was that we offered the best overall package, with a high attention to detail, from product to service, as well as being competitive on price.
“The tender was an interesting one because it involved a solution for a private vault of data. Given the sensitive nature of this data – private information for over 150,000 people in Wealden District – the security measures we employed had to be the best in the industry. However, this is our bread and butter, so we knew our proposal was a strong one.
He added: “We are very competitive across every service that we offer, but we have put a lot of time and effort into getting our customer service right. There is trust on two fronts in this business; the client has to trust the product, but also trust in the provider to deliver.”
Simon Russell, ICT support manager at Wealden District Council, commented: “We invited a range of companies to pitch and were very impressed with what Fantastic Cloud Services had to offer.
“We look forward to working with them over the next 24 months as we expand our infrastructure and provide better online experience for our residents and staff.”
