NatWest funding supports Stockport dental practice takeover
An enterprising dentist has bought into Stockport-based Arundel Dental Practice with funding from NatWest.
Dr Michael Clark, who joined the firm last year, is now a co-owner of the family dentistry and cosmetic treatment practice alongside Dr Chris Needham.
Discussing the takeover, Michael said: “It’s always been a goal of mine to own a practice.
“I moved to Manchester last year and joined Arundel Dental Practice, which is a great family surgery. The timings of the purchase were just right for me.”
The move followed the retirement of Dr Clive Oldham, who stepped down recently after working at the practice for more than 30 years.
NatWest relationship manager Janet Wedderburn, who specialises in providing support for healthcare sector businesses, worked with Michael during the takeover process.
She commented: “I was delighted to support Dr Clark with his investment in Arundel Dental Practice.
“It’s a great business which offers a high quality service to its customers and I wish the business every success for the future.”
Located in the Bramhall area of Stockport, Arundel Dental Practice employs a team of 10 and has around 4,000 patients.
Now, the practice is looking to expand by offering additional services, such as tooth straightening and other, more complex forms of treatment.
