Huddersfield electrician specialists sparks up South England projects
Huddersfield-based Ti Installations has secured a five figure contract in the South of England.
The three week project, in central Cheltenham, is part of a wider contract to transform a disused retail unit into a high end hairdressing salon.
The contract will see the firm carry out a full electrical installation throughout the four-storey space. New safe wiring will therefore be implemented throughout the basement for facility services, ground and first floor salon, and second floor staff area. Full networking services and phone points will also be fitted.
Drawing upon Ti’s security expertise, a high quality CCTV system will also be installed within the property. In addition, the team’s audio specialists will supply integrated speakers throughout the salon, enabling the projection of background music.
With a week of the project already passed, Ti’s electricians have a further 10 days of activity to complete.
The finished salon is due to open in December 2015.
The project is the fourth to be awarded to Ti by Tandem Contracts, a principal construction contractor with nationwide reach. The team provided emergency electrical support to Tandem last year, when isolation, small power and fire alarm services were required for a 1,250sqm commercial facility in London.
Ti then completed a 26 week electrical wiring, fire alarm, door entry and external lighting contract in Wokingham, which helped to transform a 3-storey redundant office building into 24 residential apartments.
Mark Copley, Ti Installations’ joint managing director, said: “We love projects like this, where we can showcase all of our in-house expertise – electrical, security and audio – on a single contract. When we set the business up in January 2014, we knew there was a gap in the market for a friendly, reputable provider of such turnkey services, who could deliver high quality support without an unmanageable price tag. Thankfully, our foresight is paying off, so much so, we’re seeing demand for work far beyond our immediate West Yorkshire location.”
Jon Fairley, Tandem’s director, added: “The guys meticulously plan their schedules, which means we can turn around complex phases of work, even in the tightest timescales. I have been pleased with the quality of their services in the past and so was keen to talk to them about this prestigious Cheltenham job.”
