DriveNow partners with London City Airport to boost transport links
DriveNow has announced a partnership with London City Airport, allowing commuters and holidaymakers to drop off or pick up a car next to the terminal.
DriveNow provides a car-sharing service, whereby customers can simply open the app, reserve their car and head straight into the city. Chief beneficiaries of the partnership are said to be businessmen and women who need spontaneous travel solutions to London City Airport. With a fleet of 290 cars across North and East London, users can be in a DriveNow vehicle and on the way to the airport within minutes.
Reportedly the largest electric car fleet in London, driving costs 39p p/m and fuel costs, parking, insurance and car tax are all included. DriveNow customers can either pick up or drop off a car anywhere within the catchment area of North and East London.
Joseph Seal-Driver, Managing Director of DriveNow UK, said: “We are committed to giving Londoners a fully flexible solution to traditional transport methods - our partnership with London City Airport gives our customers a flexible way to travel in and out of the capital. London City is the first airport to adopt DriveNow’s car-sharing service and we’re excited to be connecting London even closer to our other European cities.”
Tom Murphy, Commercial Manager at London City Airport said: “We pride ourselves on offering the best possible experience for customers. This new partnership with DriveNow offers more choice for passengers to make their journey as convenient as possible.”
