Expansion and new staff for commercial cleaning company

A Telford-based commercial contract cleaning company has invested over £30,000 in its future development by bringing in new staff and equipment and expanding its office space.

ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services West Wolverhampton and Telford employed graduate, Joshua Weale as its new marketing apprentice and created a dedicated 1,000 sq ft sales and marketing suite at its premises in Halesfield 11. The business also invested heavily in state-of-the-art cleaning management software, CleanLink and tablet devices to help improve on-site logistics and customer satisfaction.

Managing Director, David Edwards said: “The investment we’ve made is testament to the strength and determination of the company to expand and improve on our relationships with customers. We’ve seen year-on-year growth for the last six years and with a dedicated marketing resource, we plan to reach new markets and expand our share of the local commercial cleaning marketing.”

ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services West Wolverhampton and Telford was established in 1996 and currently employs over 300 trained, operatives and administration staff.

Joshua added: “I’m really excited about this opportunity to join an established, well-known, local business. I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in Journalism and now as part of my role, I’m studying for my CIM Professional Certificate at the University of Wolverhampton. I plan to utilise my knowledge to create and execute marketing campaigns that will bring new business and opportunities for the company.”

ServiceMaster Clean Contract Services Telford is a franchise of ServiceMaster (UK) Limited, and operates at over 200 sites across Shropshire and the West Midlands. In 2013, the company was the 4th largest ServiceMaster franchise in the UK and is forecasting a 14% increase in turnover in 2015.
