Keighley bedroom furniture manufacturer expands following growth period
Keighley-based luxury bedroom furniture manufacturer Henry Charles has opened a new branch in Horsforth after experiencing an increase in demand for its high end products.
Established in 2009, and based out of Aireworth Mills, Henry Charles is also planning to expand into Harrogate in the near future.
Joseph Waite, Henry Charles managing director, commented: “It’s fantastic to see that there’s a real desire for luxury bedroom furniture in the area. We’ve had to expand further afield and are now installing our sliding wardrobes as far as East Yorkshire.
“Starting a business in the middle of the recession was always going to be difficult, particularly with the unique high quality products we sell, but it’s great to have come out of it on top and we have our fantastic customers to thank for that.”
Mr Waite added: “We try and always provide a full service from the initial enquiry to the end product and we’re happy to see the results of that in the number of referrals that we get coming through the door. Recommendations from existing customers have always been the largest provider of new leads for the business and it is the driving force behind our growth”.
In addition, Henry Charles is seeking to recruit two new drivers and fitters to match the increasing demand and create jobs in the local area, and will be launching a recruitment drive in the coming months to fill these positions.
As well as opening new stores across Yorkshire, Henry Charles aims to expand into new markets as long as this growth period continues.
Benefitting from its own internal facilities, the business intends to invest further into its manufacturing arm of and enter the wholesale market with its Yorkshire made wardrobe doors and handles.
Mr Waite concluded: “Saving on costs is important for any new business, and we want to help those entering the industry by providing our product at an affordable price to help them grow like we have.”
