NWF Group boosts fuel distribution capabilities with latest acquisition
Agricultural and distribution business NWF Group plc has expanded with the acquisition of a Staffordshire-based fuel distribution firm.
NWF Group plc, which has its headquarters in Nantwich, Cheshire, snapped up Staffordshire Fuels Limited using its existing banking facilities.
The firm believes the transaction will increase its own annual distribution volume by 8% and begin enhancing earnings in the first full year.
NWF Group’s chief executive, Richard Whiting, said: “We are pleased to announce the acquisition of Staffordshire Fuels, a high quality business with a strong brand.
“The acquisition is in line with our growth strategy, increases our penetration in Staffordshire and the West Midlands and will be earnings enhancing in the first full year.”
Staffordshire Fuels, which operates a fleet of seven tankers, will continue to operate as a standalone fuel depot to support NWF Group’s multi-brand strategy.
