Glasgow garden centre outgrows old wastewater plant

This popular Glasgow garden centre may be first class at growing its own plants, however when it comes to specialist knowledge on sewage treatment plants they decided it was best left to the experts at RA Dalton, who travel the length and breadth of the UK installing, maintaining and servicing wastewater treatment plants.

One of RA Daltons latest jobs saw the team travel up to Glasgow, Scotland where it would be necessary to remove an existing Klargester BioDisc to make way for a brand new Kee NuDisc 40 vessel. The NuDisc vessel is a totally self-contained, covered, single piece packaged treatment system which is simple to install with minimal site work and suitable for small to medium flows of up to 70m3/day in single-piece configuration.

The garden centre had out grown the old Klargester treatment plant which was installed in the late 1990’s so this was removed and placed into a skip ready to be removed to a transfer station. The RA Dalton team then brought in a larger excavator to remove the spoil and to create a bigger void for the new Kee vessel while breaking out the old concrete surround, which was removed. After this was completed and made good, a crane arrived to lift the Kee NuDisc into place. RA Dalton installation engineers then visited the site to wire up and commission the system and make sure it was in perfect running order.

All work was completed in a seven day timeframe with minimum disruption, which just goes to show that you can rely on the experience of the RA Dalton team!
