Multi-million pound deal sees KBS Corporate acquire Bolton business park

Company sale services provider KBS Corporate has snapped up a two-acre business park in Bolton for a seven-figure sum.

The firm, which helps owner-managed businesses in the UK sell their enterprises to domestic and overseas buyers, has acquired the 51,000 sq ft Springfield Court on Summerfield Road.

KBS Corporate now plans to turn the site into a new HQ and incubator to help the town’s high growth enterprises.

John Rigby, chief executive of KBS Corporate, said: “We are delighted to acquire Springfield Court.

“We are investing heavily in the park to provide first class offices and excellent catering and leisure facilities for everyone on the site.”

KBS is carrying out a £1m project to revamp the offices, due for completion in March next year, to create a new gym, restaurant and coffee shop. Furthermore, KBS will establish a growth centre through which 10 Bolton enterprises will be able to access corporate financial advice and potential investors.

John continued: “I am particularly pleased to be providing a high quality business centre for fledgling companies.

“At KBS, we are proud to be based in Bolton and committed to helping create jobs in the town and give ambitious young enterprises a head start in business.”

The business park comprises five buildings and is home to a number of organisations, including ICT supplier IDNS, tax advisory firm OneE Group, humanitarian organisation British Red Cross, charity Child Action Northwest and comparison firm Love Energy Savings.

Dan Sweeney, a commercial property partner at law firm TLT, advised KBS during the transaction along with John Fletcher of commercial agents Miller Metcalfe.
