Fully-charged Electric String celebrates 5th birthday in style

Electric String, a leading installer of bespoke commercial and residential audio visual systems, has celebrated its fifth birthday by securing its largest contract win to date.

The Hull and London-based company will provide global creative agency DLKW Lowe, which counts Unilever, Post Office and Morrisons as clients, with a state-of-the-art, fully automated audio visual solution for its new headquarters in London’s Tech City.

The DLKW Lowe project follows the successful completion of a commercial installation in London for Japan-based trading company Sumitomo Corp as Electric String goes from strength to strength.

Since its launch in 2010 by former superyacht electronic designers James Symonds and James Ward, Electric String has enjoyed five consecutive years of growth with its workforce increasing sixfold and turnover soaring from £55,620 in 2011 to an estimated £755,784 in 2015. It now has more than 170 client accounts and generated more than 1,000 quotations.

Earlier this year, Electric String was presented with a Highly Commended Award at the prestigious Crestron 2015 Awards, an annual celebration of the most spectacular and innovative system designs in automation systems.

“Our project with DLKW Lowe is a timely present for Electric String as we celebrate our fifth anniversary,” says James Ward, director at Electric String. “We’ve enjoyed phenomenal growth in these five years and are delighted to have been chosen to work on such an exciting installation in the heart of London’s Tech City.”

“At Electric String, we work in partnership with our clients to provide high-quality, bespoke solutions that not only suit their current audio visual needs but can be easily evolved as technology inevitably advances.”

Electric String works with technical partners, including Crestron, Samsung, CISCO and Meridian, to provide audio visual systems that transform and enhance homes, yachts and business spaces.
