45% of Gym Goers Would Take Supplements

45% of male gym goers are nervous of supplements – but would still take them

Millions of people globally have access to purchasing a variety of supplements online, but new research from producer of Instant Knockout, has revealed that there is an alarming lack of knowledge from buyers regarding where the products are actually made, and what ingredients go into them.

The survey of 1,000 UK male gym-goers – conducted by UK supplement manufacturer Roar Ambition, creators of 100% natural supplement Instant Knockout – revealed that:

• 41% take supplements on a regular basis
• 46% would consider taking a fat-burning supplement
• 45% would take supplements recommended by friends (only 5% lower than recommended by an athlete)

With a new report by the NHS showing that in Scotland alone, £7,500 a day is being spent on diet pills and with many diet-pill connected fatalities being highlighted in the press recently, Roar Ambition’s Director Robert Parker advises:

“Be aware of where the product is made. Products made in the UK and the United States have to adhere to strict standards.”

He further comments: “Consumers should be 100% sure that they have researched what is in their chosen supplements, if products are manufactured overseas, ensure you are fully aware of all the ingredients.

“Dinitrophenol or DNP is sold illegally in diet pills as a fat-burning substance. Users experience a metabolism boost leading to weight loss, but taking even a few tablets can be fatal. If there’s one ingredient to avoid it is this one”. DNP is currently the subject of an ongoing investigation involving police, Interpol and the Food Standards Agency.
