Manufacturers to receive energy ‘masterclass’
THE businessman at the helm of an energy giant is set to address North East manufacturers at an event next week.
Dennis Clark OBE, chairman of the OGN Group, will be guest speaker at the Advanced Manufacturing Forum (AMF) monthly meeting.
Mr Clark will provide an energy ‘masterclass’ to dozens of entrepreneurs in attendance at the event.
Ian Fawdon, chairman of the AMF – which represents and promotes North East manufacturers - said: “AMF is pleased to invite business representatives to its latest meeting of manufacturers, where this month we welcome one of the region’s industrial heavyweights.
“Dennis Clark OBE, Chairman of the OGN Group, will talk about his 40 year career in the oil and gas industry, giving his take on the state of the industry and what the future holds for OGN.”
Ian added: “Energy is such an important area for businesses – being more efficient can help cut costs, and improve productivity so it is in businesses’ interests to attend.
“Also many of our manufacturers are effected by the oil and gas industries so hearing from an expert what the future holds will be of huge benefit.”
After the speech and question and answer session with Mr Clark, there will also be an introduction from a new member to AMF, as well as the popular Manufacturers’ Round-up, which is an opportunity to benchmark with other manufacturers.
The meeting will take place at AMF, in Eldon Street, South Shields, on Wednesday, November 18, between 12pm and 2pm.
