Barratt Developments' 55% increase in sales on Tyneside
Barratt Developments North East division, which includes both Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes, has recorded a significant rise in financial completions of a staggering 55% across the Tyneside region, in the twelve months leading up to 30th June, showcasing both the continuing faith in the Barratt brand, alongside growing demand for housing in the region.
The sales increase is founded on the success of new developments from across South Tyneside, North Tyneside, Newcastle and Northumberland, including David Wilson Homes’ La Sagesse in Jesmond and Barratt Homes’ Meadow Rise near the University Hospital of North Tees in Stockton. Barratt Homes’ Scholars Wynd in Lemington has also experienced particular successes since last June, whilst Barratt Homes’ Coppice Walk in Kenton, has also returned considerable results, with 61% of its properties sold since it’s launch this May.
Scott Martin, Finance Director at Barratt Developments North East, commented: “We are delighted with the increase in sales at our developments across Tyneside and want to thank everyone in the team for helping to make this happen. As the economy continues to improve, it’s very encouraging to see demand growing for new homes across the region.
“What’s more, its brilliant to see people taking advantage of schemes such as Help to Buy as we’re seeing more and more first time buyers taking their first step onto the property ladder and our part-exchange scheme allows families to move up the property ladder without the hassle of selling their current home.”
