Arbor Living announces first pre-sale

Arbor Living has secured its first sale at Lakeshore, Burton Waters, a prestigious residential development for the over-55’s in Lincoln.

The news comes as work on the first phase begins to deliver seven prestigious homes, built to a high specification, on the exclusive 20-acre site, which offers stunning views over the lake and surrounding parkland.

Each home has been created by award-winning UK park home designer and manufacturer, Pathfinder Homes.

Limited to purchasers over the age of 55, Lakeshore provides those looking to downsize with an unrivalled opportunity to release equity from their property without compromising on style, comfort or quality.

Located in an idyllic environment, less than 10 minutes from the historic city of Lincoln, Lakeshore marks the first park home development for Arbor Living and is the first step in its campaign to revolutionise the sector by setting a new benchmark in style and exclusivity.

Graham Richardson, Arbor Living director, said: “We set up Arbor Living to create a smarter living option for a new generation of over 55s.

“The concept is driven by five critical elements: design, quality of life, community, security, and pricing attractive to those wanting to free up equity.

“As experienced residential developers, we realised today’s high-end park homes offered fantastic potential to deliver all these and more.

“We are determined to realign the park home market with a brand new purchaser demographic by offering a new alternative lifestyle in secure communities and in magnificent settings.

“This is not an improvement in the park home market – it’s unashamedly a wholesale change with a hugely improved offering.

“We are thrilled to have secured our first sale at Lakeshore and look forward to showcasing our stunning homes to other potential residents over the coming weeks. We want this to be the easiest move homebuyers will ever make.”

Mel Parker of Pygott & Crone, sole agents for the scheme, said: “We’re witnessing a new generation of over 55s who are living longer and are demanding a higher standard of living in their retirement - instead of choosing the stereotypical retirement bungalow.

“By moving to Lakeshore, homeowners can release equity whilst enjoying a higher standard of living at Lakeshore. Looking at the wider market, by moving to these homes, existing family homes will be freed up for younger families who need the space.”

Owner of Arbor Living plot, Alistair Lee, said: “My wife and I believe this to be a perfect solution for couples seeking to downsize, yet still have all, or indeed even more, of the comforts a house can give.

“Close to our family and hometown of Lincoln, the development is situated in a beautiful, tranquil location yet is close to the A57 for easy access.

“Each home is built to such a high specification and close to the facilities at Burton Waters – we can’t wait to move in and be the first residents on site.”
