Creative Kitchen Supports The Whitechapel Centre

Creative and digital events organiser Creative Kitchen aims to help others with their next Made Here event on November 19th.

This month’s event has a focus on ‘Tech for Good’, with keynote speakers FACT, So-Mo and The Fresh Group. The event is led by the Alder Hey Children’s Foundation NHS Trust, whose Fresh CAMHS project works to address the subject of mental health with young people.

As part of this month’s event the Creative Kitchen team have partnered with the homeless support charity The Whitechapel Centre to raise awareness of the support offered to the city’s homeless community and the ways that we can all help those in a less privileged position than ourselves.

On November 19th the Creative Kitchen team would like members of the creative, digital and business community to donate old coats, clothes, towels, food and sleeping bags to be used in their city center shelter.

All donations will be welcome throughout the day at the event venue Launch22 at the Tempest Building, Tithebarn Street in Liverpool city center from 9am and during the Made Here event from 5.30pm until 8pm.

Creative Kitchen curator Gavin Sherratt commented “With our focus on tech for good at this month’s Made Here event we thought that we would encourage the creative and digital community to support a good cause.

With the growing issues related to homelessness we thought of the good work carried out by The Whitechapel Centre and the need to support them in collecting much needed supplies of coats and clothes.

As well as donations we want to help them raise awareness of their No 2nd Night Out: 0300 123 2041 support number in order to help their support team be aware of the location of rough sleepers in the city.

Our sector is amazing at naturally supporting good causes and hopefully with our Made Here donations campaign we can help the Whitechapel Centre to support others with their good work during the cold winter months.

I would encourage all of the region’s business community to support our donations campaign on November 19th“

The Creative Kitchen Made Here concept has been designed to showcase Liverpool’s creative and digital talent, building on the sector’s importance in the Liverpool City region’s economic growth

Previous events have seen award winning agencies such as Apposing, Uniform and Well Made enlighten the Creative Kitchen audience with insights to projects and their business growth.
