Three director promotions announced at KPMG Newcastle
KPMG Newcastle has announced three director promotions.
The professional services firm has promoted Fiona Nash, Paul O’Leary and Michelle Wilson to Director level, in recognition of their increasing leadership responsibilities within the firm’s tax and consulting teams.
Fiona Nash leads KPMG’s Fixed Asset Tax Services team across the North and Scotland. Since joining the firm’s Newcastle office as a tax graduate in 1998, Fiona has developed specialist expertise in capital allowances, including land remediation relief, during her 17 years’ experience in providing tax advice to clients.
Michelle Wilson, who also works within the tax team, supports local businesses on transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, IPOs, demergers and private equity investment. Michelle began her career at KPMG in 2001 and has since held roles within the firm’s national M&A tax team and worked with a wide range of businesses from small owner-managed enterprises to large listed entities.
Paul O’Leary, who has worked at KPMG since 2009, now leads KPMG’s technology risk consulting practice across the North East and Scotland, which advises clients on managing the risks presented by changing business models, exploiting emerging technologies and supporting transformation through IT and digital strategy.
Mick Thompson, Office Senior Partner at KPMG in Newcastle, said: “As this talented trio join our team’s top table, it’s clear that we continue to invest in the skills and experience that make a commercial difference to management teams through what is set to be a formative period for the local economy.
“I’d like to thank Fiona, Paul and Michelle for their longstanding commitment to delivering quality advice and support to the region’s businesses and public sector organisations. During their combined 37 years at KPMG they have built valuable relationships throughout the region and now lead some of our most prized specialist teams across the tax and consultancy space.”
