Getting Barnsley Folk Ready For Christmas!
With just over 40 shopping days left until Christmas, Barnsley’s popular retail centre is getting into the festive spirit.
The celebrations kick off this month with a Christmas Market from the 18th - 21st November where shoppers will be able to buy unique gifts, crafts and other handmade goodies.
From 25th November the centre will be opening late, two nights a week for late night shopping – every Wednesday and Friday (until 8pm). (All other days from 1st December will be trading 9am – 6pm).
This is followed by the annual Black Friday spectacular on 27th November, with the shopping centre opening from 8am – 8pm for those wanting to bag a bargain from the diverse selection of retailers on offer.
Heading into December, the Alhambra is putting on lots of festive fun for all the family including the return of its popular Santa’s Grotto with a 4D sleigh ride experience. The Grotto will be available from the 5th December until Christmas Eve. Entry is just £3 per child with all proceeds going to the Barnsley Hospital Tiny Hearts Appeal.
The Alhambra’s marketing manager, Steph Higham said: “We are all very excited for Christmas this year, we are bringing back our Christmas Grotto which will give families the opportunity to meet Santa and also post off their present wish lists to the North Pole!
“We are also teaming up with Heart Yorkshire to be able to offer one lucky shopper £250 – perfect timing to help with the Christmas cheer! The Heart Angels will be in the centre every Wednesday and Friday between 4-8pm with giant games and face painting. Come along to the Alhambra this festive period and join in the festivities!”
