Parkdean Holidays scoop top prize at travel industry awards
North East-based holiday park operator Parkdean Holidays has been awarded the title of ‘Best Holiday Park’ at the prestigious Group Leisure Awards 2015 this month.
Beating fellow industry heavy weights including Butlins, Pontins and Away Resorts - Parkdean took first place at the glittering dinner and ceremony at the Hilton in Birmingham.
Industry representatives voted for the best companies, attractions, destinations and individuals in the world of group travel and leisure before winners were announced at the event.
Parkdean Holidays Head of Sales Chloe Squires, who picked up the award with other members of Parkdean team, said: “It is wonderful to win an award which is judged by group travel organisers who know the market so well. We are constantly looking at improving our already award-winning holiday parks, we continually re-invest in the quality accommodation and amazing facilities on offer.
“We have 24 holiday parks in total, all set in beautiful locations around the UK so we hope more people get a chance to visit them and come away with the feeling that they have got the best experience.”
Other trophies handed out on the night were for accolades such as Best Airline, Best Cruise Line and Best UK Attraction. Nominations were made across 21 different categories in total.
The ceremony was attended by some of the top names in the travel industry with special guest travel presenter and author Simon Reeve co-hosting the awards.
