The House of Michael Wallace Launches First Men’s Line

After displaying his women’s collections at London Fashion Week and in LA, fashion designer Michael Wallace has launched his first ever men’s line at the Prince’s Trust Samsung Celebrate Success Awards.

The Derbyshire based fashion designer was nominated to showcase at the event by Liz Cheetham from The Prince’s Trust, and the charity’s board chose Michael to display his new men’s collection at the event, which took place at The Derby Roundhouse on November 9.

Following five years of specialising in bespoke women’s wear and wedding dress designs, the planned menswear line will be marketed under The House of Michael Wallace brand, and will offer smart and classy ready-to-wear outfits for the male fashionista.

Michael (25) said: “After spending the past five years specialising in wedding designs and bespoke women’s wear, I have found that there is a large demand for a menswear collection.

“The wedding designs have been fun and I love doing them but there is a limit to how far you can take them. I wanted to branch out into men’s wear so have produced made-to-wear casual clothing as well as business attire and winter clothing just in time for Christmas.”

It has been a very successful year for the fashion designer who will soon be opening his first studio, and he has been chosen to close the House of Ikons show next year at the prestigious London Fashion Week.

Michael added: “I have been invited back to quite a few exhibitions and I am very grateful for every opportunity that I get. To be invited to the Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success Awards was a huge honour as the Trust has given me so much support. Listening to the stories of such inspirational and humbling young people was amazing, they should all be very proud of themselves.”

The Prince’s Trust and Samsung Celebrate Success Awards recognise the achievements of disadvantaged young people who have succeeded against the odds, improved their chances in life and had a positive impact on their local community and the awards pay tribute to their bravery, determination and sheer hard work.
