Edwards & Co appointed to multi-million pound Tomorrow scheme
Independent surveying practice Edwards & Co has been appointed as the agent for the £20m Tomorrow project at the MediaCityUK development.
The Manchester-based firm was chosen for its background in the creative and digital sectors to work on Tomorrow, which comprises 50,052 sq ft of office and studio space.
Edwards & Co’s head of office agency, Andrew Timms, said: “We’re delighted that our expertise and knowledge within the creative and digital sector has been recognised by MediaCityUK in our recent agency appointment.
“Tomorrow will be complementary to the state-of-the-art digital facilities for broadcasting and production, audio and virtual reality - currently offered at the Landing and dock10.”
He added: “We are excited to work with those businesses that will make their mark in this creative space”.
Tomorrow will also include a 112-bed hotel, potentially strengthening MediaCityUK’s viability as a visitor destination in light of the new restaurants opening at the development.
MediaCityUK’s asset manager, Lynn Haime, commented: “Tomorrow brings a new dimension to MediaCityUK and will provide a studio/warehouse feel, with exposed steel beams, full access raised floors and full height glazing with opening windows.
“Creativity is key. The heartbeat of the building will be 23:59, a collaboration and coworking coffee hub spread across ground and mezzanine level.”
She continued: “We’re excited to be working with Edwards & Co and to look forward to seeing the space come alive with innovative and inspiring businesses.”
