Eyeweb creates new website for Home Start charity
Leading Hessle-based website design company Eyeweb is designing a state-of-the-art website for HomeStart Hull, a charity which helps struggling families with young children in the Hull area.
Eyeweb had worked with HomeStart before to give them a much needed presence online but, without the technical expertise to move their message on, they were at risk of falling by the wayside - until managing director Paul Scott and his team decided to step in and offered their services for free.
HomeStart’s original website was created for people to use for information and as a point of contact if they found themselves struggling with the day-to-day tasks involved with raising a young family. Today’s demanding lifestyles and expectations can mean many new parents can feel isolated but thanks to Eyeweb they will soon be able to chat to the HomeStart team through a new responsive, instantly accessible website – and one that can easily be used whether it’s on a mobile phone, tablet or desktop.
Caroline Watson, from HomeStart, is delighted that they are on the verge of something new and exciting for the team and the families they help:
“Thanks to Paul and his former business partner Cairn Emmerson back in 2010 we created an essential outlet for parents wanting to talk about their worries and fears. That was really successful but because we rely solely on any local fundraising we do, and the help of our 70 amazing volunteers, we found that we needed another way to reach those most in need without a huge financial outlay.
“It’s fantastic that we can now see a whole new way of working opening up where we will be able to communicate with families and fundraising opportunities through our clever new site. We can’t thank Eyeweb enough for offering their time and services for free, once again. This will go a long way towards our goal of reaching everyone who needs our help.”
Eyeweb hope to have the new website up and running very soon, and thanks to their unique in-house designed Mission Control CMS website administrators can update, change and add new content relevant to their site 24/7 at the touch of a button, on any device.
