Holland and Barrett appoint Bradford’s Redfern for travel needs

Bradford-based travel management company Redfern has been appointed to manage international health food chain Holland and Barrett’s corporate travel.

The UK’s largest health food retailer, based in Nuneaton, awarded Redfern the contract due to its approach to helping streamline and consolidate travel arrangements for its 6400 associates.

Over the last two years, Holland and Barrett has been expanding across the UK and Europe and needed a travel management solution which was both user friendly for staff while helping to reduce their overall spend on travel.

Redfern, which manages travel and venue bookings forboth the UK and Scottish governments, is also growing at a rapid rate.

The travel management company has added a number of high profile private sector clients to its public sector portfolio in 2015 including Skipton Building Society and insurance provider Hastings Direct. Turnover exceeded £232m last year.

Daniel Phillips, head of sales at Redfern, said: “Businesses from a range of sectors including retail favourites, law firms and financial institutions have appointed Redfern this year to drive maximum value from their travel budgets while ensuring traveller safety and solid policy compliance.

“Whilst the economy is recovering, businesses of all sizes are still behaving prudently with regards to business travel. Our customers tell us they want two things; to reduce overall travel expenditure, and when travel is unavoidable, to ensure the very best return on their spend.

“We are helping customers achieve this by delivering rich and varied content, as well as identifying smarter buying behaviours through detailed interrogation of management information and benchmarking ensuring our customers realise considerable savings.”
