UKFast Santa Run supports children’s charity Key 103’s Cash for Kids

The UKFast Santa Run is supporting Key 103’s Cash for Kids Mission Christmas campaign when it takes place on Sunday 29 November.

The race will see hundreds of Santa-clad runners take to the streets around MediaCityUK, and runners are encouraged to bring along a present to donate to the appeal.

The gifts donated to Key 103’s Cash for Kids Mission Christmas campaign will be given to a disadvantaged child to make their Christmas special. The charity is looking for new and unwrapped presents for children and young people aged 0-18.

Key 103’s Mike and Chelsea commented: “Key 103’s Cash for Kids are thrilled to be the beneficiary of the UKFast Santa Run at Media City. It’s so great to see a company like UKFast giving back in the way they do. Ultimately we want to help as many children this Christmas who are risk of not receiving a gift on Christmas day. We want to fill Santa’s sleigh with even more gifts for these children at Christmas. Key 103 and Greater Manchester always come together to make this the biggest toy appeal in the country and with your help we can break all records this year.“

The UKFast Santa Run, organised by Sports Tours International, the team behind the We Love Manchester 10K and City of Salford 10K races, is now in its fourth year and is fast becoming a local tradition.

Sports Tours International Race Director, Graham Jackson, commented: “We’re extremely pleased to welcome Key 103 Cash for Kids to the UKFast Santa Run. We welcome lots of families to the event each year, so we’re thrilled we can support this cause which helps disadvantaged children across the region. Those who wish to run for charity but don’t already have a chosen charity can run for Key 103 Cash for Kids.“

In association with the Manchester-based cloud provider UKFast, the race starts at 10.30am at MediaCityUK Square, outside the BBC offices.

The Mission Christmas present drop off point will be located in the The Studio, on the first floor mezzanine at the MediaCityUK Piazza.

After completing the run, runners will receive a medal and children will be given a selection box.

The run will cover a distance just under 5k. This is purely a fun event for the festive season, no times are taken and all are welcome. Runners are welcome to run for charity or for fun.
