Engage Web to share secrets of LinkedIn

Gurus at one of the North West’s leading online marketing companies, Engage Web, are preparing to offer a one-day training course that could see business owners across the region change how they use professional networking site LinkedIn.

Engage Web, a previous finalist in the Morgan Foundation Entrepreneur Awards, has been sharing its unique insight into LinkedIn, along with other platforms such as Twitter, in a series of seminars given to businesspeople and their teams in recent years, but this is the first time that a hands-on format will be used.

The announcement comes as the company prepares to launch its new brand, the Online Learning Academy. The Academy offers the opportunity to learn the skills vital to get ahead in online marketing, social media and even earning a living as a blogger – and more courses are in development. Students not only get to grips with real-world examples and exercises, but are also supported by a great team of tutors. Distance learning is available, and regular networking events are in the pipeline.

Lianne Wilkinson, Managing Director of Engage Web, explained why the company decided to move into the training arena. She said:

“Engage Web is a great success; we’ve spent more than five years working with both large and small companies, as well as some internationally known clients, but there are still businesses out there who either don’t have the budget to work with an agency yet or want to do certain aspects themselves. It’s incredibly important for your business to create an impact online. We decided that the time was right to share this in a way that was tailored specifically for individual learning.“

Engage Web can be contacted directly for further details on its ‘How to Master LinkedIn’ day course, and initial courses on the Online Learning Academy can now be viewed on its website www.onlinelearningacademy.co.uk.

Along with ‘How to Master LinkedIn’, the Academy offers ‘How to Make Money Writing for the Web’, aimed at people who want to write from home, and ‘Blogging for Beginners’, to help businesses get started in creating blogs and articles for their site and social media. More courses, including one for Twitter, will be added in the near future.
