Double shot of success for Ground Espresso Bars

Northern Ireland’s fastest growing coffee chain Ground Espresso Bars are serving up a double expansion this month with two new stores in Enniskillen and Magherafelt.

Part of the Ground Espresso Bars expansion plan announced earlier this year, the company is investing in excess of £250k into these new stores and contributing 30 new jobs to the two areas. This development will further Ground’s commitment to supporting the local economy and enhancing the quality of life for neighbourhood residents.

Operating as an in-store café, the Enniskillen outlet will be located as a concession in the town’s NEXT plc store in the Erneseide Shopping Centre, augmenting Ground’s long-lasting partnership with the retail chain. Thrilled with the expanding relationship, Director Karen Gardiner said: “We are delighted with the consistent support from Next Plc. Ground is positioned in seven of Next’s department stores and we’re glad to be welcoming the eighth in Enniskillen.”

The Magherafelt stand-alone store opened on Friday to reveal a new state-of-the-art premises to hundreds of customers. Co-Founder Darren Gardiner discussed the new store’s design: “We’ve blended Ground’s quintessential welcoming atmosphere with an innovative design specification and created a cool new space for our customers to relax, socialise, and enjoy our bespoke coffee range.”

And the expansion venture doesn’t end with these two new stores, Ground is also developing plans for their movement into Bangor with the announcement of another two new stores, one within a new Next superstore at Bloomfield and the other a bespoke stand-alone unit at Toscana Retail Park. These units will create another 30 new jobs bringing the work force at ground to over 200.
