It's lucky 13 for commuters!

Kent coach travel specialist Chalkwell is giving annual customers who use its London commuter services a month’s free travel as part of the company’s 85th anniversary celebrations.

Anyone who buys one of Chalkwell’s annual GoCards before the end of February 2016 will get 13 months’ travel for the price of 12, while existing annual customers will be given a free month if they renew before the end of November 2016. It’s the latest ‘thank you’ to customers from the family-run company as it gears up for its 85th anniversary in 2016. Next month, Chalkwell is treating annual ticket holders from across the county to a free Daybreak to Winchester Christmas Market or Bruges Christmas Market; and next year, the company’s giving annual customers and a guest another free day out from a choice of shows, theme parks, museums, stately homes and Continental destinations. Meanwhile, new customers are being offered the chance to claim nine weeks of free travel on all of Chalkwell’s London commuter services when they trade in their annual rail or coach ticket for a Chalkwell annual GoCard; or they can get a free 10-journey GoCard by scanning their existing annual, four-week or monthly ticket from their current rail ticket provider or coach operator. Chalkwell’s Commercial Director, Roland Eglinton, says: “The company started out in 1931 and we’ve come a long way since then! Next year is a big milestone for us and we want to include our customers in the celebrations. We wouldn’t be where we are now if it wasn’t for them.” The company’s revolutionary new GoCard ticketing system, which was introduced on Chalkwell’s daily services into London this summer, allows commuters to only pay for what they use and just top up their card when they need extra credit.
