David Wilson Homes appoints new construction director
David Wilson Homes has appointed Gareth Neale as its construction director in the South West.
Gareth joins the company with more than 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, the last nine of which working as construction director at a housing developer.
His role will see him oversee construction at David Wilson Homes’ developments across the South West region, of which there are currently around 20. He will be responsible for liaising with staff, contractors and support teams to ensure all homes are built to a high standard and safely.
Gareth said: “Mentoring apprentices is a hugely rewarding part of my job so I’m looking forward to helping those within the David Wilson Homes apprenticeship programme, developing them into the site managers of tomorrow. I also get huge job satisfaction when inspecting homes which have been built to a high standard of finish by our site teams before handing over the properties to our customers. The homes we create will hold so many memories for the families that move into them so it’s an exciting time for everyone involved.”
He adds that David Wilson Homes’ reputation is what led him to the new role. “There’s no doubt that David Wilson Homes is a premier league brand. It invests in its staff and systems and its reputation for building high quality homes really does precede it. It’s what made me want to come on board as part of the team.”
