Sparkling Santa’s Post Office opens its doors in Chester!
An enchanting Santa’s Post Office where friendly elves help children write and send their Christmas wish lists to Santa has opened its doors in Chester city centre.
Based on Northgate Street, Santa’s Post Office has been specially created to celebrate the childhood magic of Christmas as part of ‘Chester Kidsmas’ –a festival of free and family-friendly activities in the city centre organised by CH1ChesterBID.
Led by ChELFie and ELFie, a team of Christmas elves are spreading Christmas cheer from the post office for children, families and the young at heart every weekend from now until Christmas Eve.
“Santa’s Post Office is a wonderful and unique addition to our seasonal programme of events and activities in 2015,” said Julie Charlton, Marketing Manager at CH1ChesterBID.
“With the help of Santa’s elves, we’re inviting children to write their Christmas wish list and post their letters through a magical post box and watch as it travels all the way to Santa in Lapland. The post office is festively decorated and there’s an enchanting atmosphere inside that children will love – it’s the perfect place to make special memories with little ones.
“It’s also a completely free activity because we want as many families as possible to enjoy the experience and celebrate the festive season with us here in the city centre.”
Those that complete and post their letters inside Santa’s Post Office can provide an email address to ensure that Santa sends a special reply. As well as a post box inside, there’s also an outside letterbox where children can post Christmas letters they’ve written at home or when the store is closed.
Santa’s Post Office is based at 68 Northgate Street and is open every weekend until Christmas Eve from 10:00am until 4:00pm, in addition to 21-24 December. The post office will also open this Thursday (3 December) between 4:00pm and 7:00pm to coincide with late night shopping in the city centre and the visit of the Coca-Cola Christmas truck.
