ICE Yorkshire responds to Leeds HS2 announcement
A senior official at the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) has responded to announcements on HS2, including an interim report on Leeds Station.
Penny Marshall, Director of ICE Yorkshire and Humber, said: “The ICE welcomes the proposal to integrate Leeds’ HS2 platforms with the existing station. This will provide improved connectivity options with the wider northern rail network and reflects ICE’s evidence to the HS2’s consultation in 2014.
“The renewed investigation into a city centre HS2 station in Sheffield is an interesting development, which could lead to a solution better integrated with other rail services.”
