Hartlepool’s Niramax reaches waste partnership with Veolia
Waste management company Niramax has agreed a landfill diversion agreement with global firm Veolia.
The deal will see Veolia take over the running of Niramax’s 4,000 trade waste bins, collected from over 1,000 customers across the North East, whilst Hartlepool’s Niramax will process the waste.
The agreement is said to be mutually beneficial, as both companies reportedly hold long term ambitions to reduce the amount of waste which ends up in landfill sites.
Frank Antropik, Managing Director of Niramax, said: “We have been in discussions with Veolia for some time to reach this agreement, which we believe enhances our business offering and adds another string to our bow.
“It’s a win-win situation for both companies as it very much plays to our strengths, with Veolia collecting the waste and Niramax processing and treating it – diverting it away from landfill which of course is a big priority for the industry.”
