Sovini Trade Supplies brings Christmas cheer to schools
Staff at Sovini Trade Supplies have been spreading festive cheer across Sefton by donating Christmas trees to local schools.
The business, which is part of the Sovini Group, donated trees to Litherland High School and Litherland Moss Primary School as part of their commitment to improving the local community.
The real Nordmann Fir trees are proudly displayed in the receptions of the schools, and the head teachers were thrilled with the gifts.
Sarah Greer, Head Teacher at Litherland Moss Primary School, said: “I want to say thank you to Sovini Trade Supplies for the beautiful tree, it looks wonderful in our reception.
I also want to say thank you to the Sovini Group in general for all the support they offer us, via community projects and campaigns.
“Sovini is a business at the heart of the community and we love working so closely with our partners.“
Sovini Trade Supplies, based in Aintree, has been operating for just over two years.
It is unlike most businesses of its kind, with all elements of the business - from sourcing and purchasing, to supplying and serving - centred on the desire to do social good.
Earlier this year, Sovini Trade Supplies donated £16,000 worth of materials to the DIY SOS Veterans Special, helping to build a community for war veterans.
As part of the Sovini Group, capacity generated by Sovini Trade Supplies is reinvested in the group’s not-for-profit social housing partners – One Vision Housing and Pine Court Housing Association - supporting their investment in new homes and developing local communities.
They also donated a tree to Litherland Youth & Community Centre, as well as to tenants of One Vision Housing who would otherwise be without a tree this Christmas.
Chris Brennand, Head of Operations at Sovini Trade Supplies, said: “We’re privileged to be able to bring some festive cheer to local schools and communities.
“Our business is dedicated to doing social good in our community, so we jumped at the chance to donate some of our Christmas trees to benefit local children and their families.
“We hope all everyone who received a tree this year has a very merry Christmas.“
For anyone interested in purchasing a Christmas tree from Sovini Trade Supplies, there are still some left in stock at their Aintree store for just £20.
Other members of the Sovini Group are One Vision Housing, Pine Court Housing Association, Sovini Property Services and Sovini Homes.
