Day 12: FedEx festive top tips for small businesses
#12 Seal it Tight
Christmas is coming and at FedEx we want to help your business be fully prepared this festive season. For today’s top tip, please see below:
Come rain or shine your logistics provider will deliver, and while every care will be taken to protect your parcel, you must remember that during at least some of the journey it could be exposed to the winter elements. With forecasters warning the UK is to face its harshest winter in over fifty years, those last few feet from the delivery vehicle to the front door is important. It’s therefore crucial to ensure your parcel is sealed tightly to keep out the winter weather.
With a few simple techniques you can guarantee your products will arrive in pristine condition. Make sure that you seal all the flaps and seams using proper packing tape, avoid using masking tape or duct tape as these make parcels much more difficult to open. For extra security, remember to make the shape of an “H” when taping seams to best protect your parcel.
For some businesses bad weather can be particularly disruptive. Make sure your logistics provider is the first to be aware, giving you peace of mind your deliveries will arrive on time.
