A festive chat with… Sarah Anglim, founder and managing director of Gatwick’s I Love Meet and Greet Parking
I Love Meet and Greet, which operates at Stanstead, Heathrow and Gatwick, as well as several other airports across the UK, is our next ‘festive favourite’. I Love Meet and Greet team have been providing meet and greet valet parking at Gatwick since 1984.
The original owners of Gatwick’s first meet and greet company PAS, Sarah Anglim, Tony Tucker, Mark Anglim launched the “I Love” brand in 2012.
We spoke to Sarah Anglim, founder and managing director of I Love Meet and Greet Parking about her favourite moments from 2015, her plans for Christmas and what she’s most excited for in 2016.
2015 – Looking back
What were the highlights for your business in 2015?
“The growth in our numbers and recognition in our industry as a market leader in airport parking.”
Looking back, is there anything you would have done differently this year?
“I would have ensured 100% customer focus and presentation at all times. Distraction by other things should not have detracted from goal to always be the best.”
How has your industry changed in the last year?
“There has not been much change in the industry, although passenger numbers have increased at all the airports we operate and rogue operators continue to damage the industry’s profile.”
2016 – Moving forward
What are your key focuses for next year?
Customer focus, presentation and service delivery
What are you most looking forward to in 2016?
“Making our next year the best ever in terms of customer focus and building on the foundations of the successes of 2015”
What do you expect will be your biggest challenge in the coming year?
“Competitors not delivering a decent service so when clients look at prices they do not realise they are not getting the best value for the same money with our competitors. We want a level playing field for our industry.”
The softer stuff
If you could go back in time, which piece of advice would you give your younger self?
“Be confident, take the risks you have taken and always aim to be the best. It’s not just about the money.”
How will you be celebrating the festive period?
“This Christmas will be our busiest so I am looking forward to relaxing for about 24 hours before it all begins again.”
