Barclays funding revs up growth plans for Cramlington garage owner
Cramlington-based JB Motors has expanded its premises following funding from Barclays.
Located within East Cramlington Industrial Estate, funding has enabled the firm to launch a new MOT centre with a testing station, complemented with new equipment.
John Batey, owner of JB Motors, explained: “As an established business I have offered a range of garage services to customers within Cramlington and the surrounding area for thirteen years.
“I have built up a reputation for excellent quality and service and I’m delighted that I can now provide a full MOT service for class 4, 5L and 7 vehicles in addition to a full range of garage services for both the general public and trade customers.
“I am passionate about providing a great service for the local community and building the testing station has been a long held ambition. It’s great that Barclays has supported my ambitions and been able to assist with the funding for the long term growth plans of the business.”
As part of the continuing expansion, JB Motors has been able to recruit an apprentice motor mechanic and is pleased to announce the arrival of fully qualified Motor Mechanic and MOT tester who has recently joined the team now the testing station is complete.
Jane Brown, Business Banking Manager at Barclays put together the funding package for the deal and said: “John is passionate about his business and has been planning to expand for some time now. He has a vast amount of experience and we look forward to seeing the business grow over the coming years.”
