Christmas comes early as West Yorkshire print firm achieves record month of sales
Elland-based ABS Independent Copier Solutions (ABS ICS), the distribution arm of ABS UK Ltd, has seen a record month for sales - generating over £130k.
The company, which supplies the DEVELOP range of multifunctional devices, consumables, parts and managed print software to photocopier businesses throughout the UK, sold 50 devices in its last month of trading and saw an increase in sales of over £2k in November.
ABS ICS has an annual turnover of just over £1m and has had a record breaking year.
ABS stocks over 100 machines, consumables and parts in its Halifax warehouse and is geared up to support its customers via a small, but dedicated team of five personnel.
Originally launched in 2008, ABS ICS was set-up in response to a request from Panasonic for ABS UK Ltd to become the major supplier of photocopying equipment in the North of England.
Following a year working with Panasonic, ABS was also approached by DSales Ltd, the exclusive UK distributor for the DEVELOP range of digital multifunctional devices, to be an authorised distributor of DEVELOP products.
Since 2010, ABS ICS has gone from a supplier base of 20 to 60.
Sally Roberts, dealer support manager at ABS ICS says of the achievement, said: “We may only be a small team of five, but we have come a long way since our inception in 2008 and now have dealers in Scotland, Wales, Norfolk, the Isle of Man and with new, innovative products now available we hope to increase our dealer base by 20% in the next year”.
ABS UK Ltd, which specialises in document production and print and document management, has increased its turnover by over £1m to £4m in the last 12 months.
