Coda Planning celebrates third anniversary with fresh expansion

CODA Planning, the planning consultancy division of award winning Sheffield multidisciplinary practice CODA, is continuing to expand following a third year of successful growth.

With planning projects being steered to successful conclusions across the country, Coda Planning has doubled turnover and now employs a team of five at Coda’s Sheffield headquarters in historic Kelham Island.

“This has been an incredibly exciting year for Coda Planning as we have continued to see a growth in projects, not just in Sheffield but also in Manchester and in other parts of the country,” said director Adam Murray.

“In our home city we have led a huge range of successful planning applications for various high profile clients to help deliver development sites, with a large emphasis on helping with the city’s huge shortage of housing.

“On the other side of the Pennines, we have recently gained planning permission for a landmark 11 storey, 133 apartment scheme in Salford Quays for Knight Knox International and we are now working on more large scale proposals with the company in Manchester city centre and Salford.”

Other key Coda Planning projects have seen the team working with Watford Council on a 12 storey mixed use development with MCR Property.

“The size and complexity of the projects Coda Planning is now undertaking really does show how far we have come in three years and proves that we can deliver complex planning projects successfully,” said Adam.

“We are particularly pleased to be able to say that the work Coda Planning has undertaken has helped to positively shape the urban environment in several major locations, particularly the Northern Powerhouse cities and we are looking forward to continued growth in 2016 as the scale and nature of the projects we undertake increases and reflects growth in the economy.”
