Housebuilder launches three developments and announces plans for 2016
A West Yorkshire housebuilder says business is booming, launching three new developments in November and announcing plans for many more in 2016.
Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire launched new developments in Wakefield, Ossett and Wombwell which will see more than 600 new homes constructed in the region over the coming months.
The company has already sold and/or reserved 150 properties across the three sites prior to their official opening proving demand for new housing remains high in the region.
Simon Whalley, sales director at Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire is delighted with his team’s results.
He said: “The Group recently announced strong pre-tax profits of 31 per cent for the first half of 2015 and our focus for the second half has been on delivering more much-needed new homes across the region.
“We have been working hard to establish new locations and secure planning permission for sites, which we believe, will make a positive contribution to the townscapes and its residents.
“We are very pleased to have launched Meadowbrook Gardens in Ossett as our development in neighbouring Horbury, which was completed a few years ago, was a great success. We expect this attractive market town, with its community atmosphere and excellent transport links, to be just as popular.
“We have a different appeal at our Clarence Heights development, which can be found off Park Avenue in Wakefield. The city centre location makes this a premium site and customers can enjoy the ease of walking into Wakefield centre but also having picturesque parks on their doorstep.
“Our Wombwell site, Holly Bank, to the south of Barnsley, strengthens our South Yorkshire portfolio. With open countryside close by this development is conveniently located for access to the M1 and M18 and benefits from a range of local amenities and good schools.
Both Clarence Heights and Holly Bank feature a selection of two, three and four bedroom homes whereas Meadowbrook Gardens offers buyers larger five bedroom properties in addition to a choice of three and four bedroom house designs.
“Our early bird customers have been purchasing off-plan but as there are lots of decisions to be made when considering a new house, including fixtures, fittings and additional options, a showhome can really help customers to visualise their new home.
“Our dedicated sales advisors can also explain the range of buying schemes available at our new developments which can make buying a new home easier and more affordable than first anticipated,” concluded Simon.
Persimmon Homes West Yorkshire is planning to launch further new sites in Castleford, Penistone, Barnsley and Lindley in 2016.
